OH BILLS

0 LOVELY COMMENTS

I have wanted to visit Bill's for a long time now, ever since seeing the beautiful Instagram snaps of Carrie (WishWishWish) and Liv Purvis (What Olivia Did). The nearest Bill's restaurant to me is Leamington Spa which is a little drive down the motorway so not far however I only visit occasionally. Keep reading to see what I thought and I have split it into sections like a review, same as what I did in my Five Guys blog post which you can read HERE
FOOD - 5/5

I struggled to decide what I wanted to eat because there was so many things that I wanted on the menu. I nearly went for the chicken and chorizo burger however I was having chorizo for tea that night so I had the hamburger with monetary jack cheese. I switched up my skinny fries for sweet potato fries and the whole lot was delicious! I love having burgers with brioche buns well I just love a good burger really!
DRINK - 5/5

The drinks list was really extensive and again really hard to choose as there was so many things that I wanted however I decided to go for something different and I have a pink lemonade with vanilla ice cream float. It came with a fresh half a strawberry and I loved it. Phil had a Samuel Adams
MENU - 4/5

The menu had so many delicious treats as I mentioned before that I didn't know what to order. We already decided when we were leaving that we are going back for Breakfast and I'm having poached egg and pancakes for dessert so look out for that blog post. There was so many yummy starters, mains and sides. I also really fancy trying out the Mac and Cheese, definitely not something I'd normally choose however it looked amazing!
PRICE - 4/5

I paid £9.50 for my burger, an extra £1.20 for cheese and 50p to switch to sweet potato fries. So £11.20 in total which for a burger and fries of that quality I am more than happy to pay that price. I've paid up to £20 for burgers in the past that weren't as good. My drink was £3.75 and considering it was a special drink I was happy to pay that. Dessert cost £5.50 which yes is a little more than I would probably like to pay however there was five fresh home-made mini donughts delicious velvety melted chocolate and fresh strawberries which was indeed delicious so the price was most certainly worth it.
SEATS - 5/5

I loved the seating arrangement at Bill's they had created sectioned areas which made cosy intimate split up dining areas. It meant minimal pushing past chairs and splitting the room made a much better atmosphere. Some of the seats and benches were leather and the reset were made out of wood. I loved the tables and I was really happy sitting in Bills for my lunch.
ATMOSPHERE/DECOR - 5/5

I really liked the decor at Bill's, it was rustic but homely and made you really comfortable and happy to be there. I love chalkboards and there was chilli peppers hanging from the ceilings and a diamond chandelier. I didn't get much of a view of the bar however there was more peppers and pretty light shades there too!
WI-FI - 5/5

I needed to connect to the Wi-Fi to upload my obligatory Instagram snaps. I tried on 4G however it failed so I asked the waitress for the Wi-Fi code, she wrote it out on a piece of paper for me and I was connected and content with fast Wi-Fi that pleased my Instagram needs.

We walked off our food babies around the shops and I picked up a couple of things from Boots and then we went food shopping, so all in all it made for the perfect Saturday afternoon that I really enjoyed.

I hope you enjoyed reading my review, let me know if you would love to see more!

SEASIDE

I hadn't been on one beach this summer so I was super excited to go to Weston Supermare on Saturday with my best girl friends. We had so much fun and I can't wait to tell you about it!
Well it all started with a three hour road trip, the girls picked me up at 8.30am (not a morning person) and we got onto the motorway armed with lots of snacks. So it took us three hours to get there because of traffic.

As soon as we got there we headed straight to the grand pier to play on the 2p machines. We found one that gave out tickets as well as the 2ps so we went to redeem them in the prize shop for sweets! We ate our fish and chips on the beach and then it decided to rain so we head towards the shops and afterwards we went on the spin ball wizzer type ride. Then we walked along the promenade chasing sharky as julie wanted a selfie with him then we kicked off our shoes and walked along the beach.

We were thirsty so we all had a slushy and bought a pink princess bucket and spade, built sandcastles, did cartwheels and ran around in the sea. We then picked up some lovely donughts for the journey home and luckily there was no traffic. We finished off the day with a TGI Fridays (Yummy steak).

I can't wait to go back to the beach next summer! I had so much fun

TAKE CARE OF ALL YOUR MEMORIES FOR YOU CAN'T RELIVE THEM - BOB DYLAN

There is no denying the fact that I have an Instagram obsession and I'm definitely not the only one. We love to capture and store memories and moments so we can remember them in the future. Recently I decided to get lots of my very favourite Instagram snaps printed so that I can keep my memories and have hard copies of them for me to look at when I want.

In January this year I went to Disney Land Paris and I took some of my favourite photos there. I love having them printed so I can look at them. Instagram is my favourite Social Media site, I want to let you know things that I do to make my Instagram images look pretty and at there best.

INSTAGRAM FILTERS

Instagram has its own app filters that lets you edit your photos as you take them or import an image in from your camera roll. My favourite filter is Valencia. It used to be X-Pro but this makes your images really dark and shadowy so I steer clear from that one nowadays as I prefer a lighter, natural more etherial look to my snaps.

VSCO CAM

I discovered this app as I know Carrie from WishWishWish uses it and also Zoe London. I'm sure many other bloggers use it too but you get such a variety of filter and the ability to tone it up or down with a slider which I love. My favourite at the moment are F2 and T1 I just play around with the intensity depending on what looks best.

COMPOSITION

Play around with composition, don't just snap at your food make sure what you are taking a picture of looks great and looks good in the square frame before you take it. I always use the square setting on my Iphone so that I don't have to crop out things before I upload and loose important aspects of the photo. take as many photos as you like and be creative and most importantly have fun!

PRINT THEM OUT

Last of all don't hide away all of your photos on Instagram, get them printed and show them off. Pictures of my memories make me happy and smile and remember the good times! I got mine printed by printed.com.

MAKE SURE YOU CAPTURE ALL OF YOUR MEMORIES SO YOU CAN KEEP THEM FOREVER

WE BOUGHT A ZOO

0 LOVELY COMMENTS

So okay I didn't buy a zoo, pretty obvious because come on where would I find the money to buy a zoo! We visited Twycross zoo on Sunday because my nephew is one and a half so the zoo is the perfect place to take him as he loves the animals and was excited all day until he fell asleep after his lunch! Haha, we had a lovely picnic that would have been perfect if it wasn't for those pesky wasps.

My favourite animal at the zoo was the flamingos, they are so beautiful. I also love seeing the monkeys and this penguin was more than happy to pose for pictures. My other favourite animal is the meerkats and we were lucky to walk up to their enclosure at feeding time. I was too busy vlogging this to get good pictures of the little guys.

I love going to the zoo and I'm hoping to go to the safari park soon too!

FLORAL LOVELY GET READY WITH ME

0 LOVELY COMMENTS

I picked up a beautiful pink bunch of roses because if you can't treat yourself to a lovely bunch of pink roses on the weekend, when can you? I popped to the florist in the village on Saturday afternoon because I had never been in before. I bought the silver vase that they are sitting in earlier on in the day from Home Sense and I purchased the smaller one from George at Asda on Friday night. It looks so pretty with a tea light sitting in there, vanilla are definitely my fave.

I always have flowers downstairs in the lounge in my house so I thought it would be lovely to treat my desk to a lovely bunch and they look so beautiful. I hope they last for ages because I love the way they look. I took so many photos of them, I just couldn't stop as pink roses are my favourite flowers they are so lovely!

I vlogged again on Saturday, well it turned into more of a main channel video than a blog (If you watch Youtube videos you will understand what I mean) I intended on vlogging my day like I did last weekend however when I got to the shops I was more interested in buying things than vlogging so my day vlog was a little bit of a fail i'm afraid however I'm really happy how this one turned out and I hope you like it!

Which are your favourite flowers? I hope you treat yourself to pretty blooms too!

SILVER STATEMENT

0 LOVELY COMMENTS

One of my favourite things has to be a statement piece, now don't get me wrong I'm not always rocking a statement necklace or shoe as I also love my dainty and more elegant pieces. I recently picked up this necklace and it is definitely my favourite in my collection. Studs chains and gems, silver and black it has all the elements I look for in jewellery and I love it very much.

The silver studded heels have to be my favourite pair. I don't wear them much and they are painful to wear (sorry toes). My feet aren't pointed don't you know and don't agree with being squished into them.

I have had the beautiful mosaic style bracelet for years now. I bought it from Topshop and I love it, it is so heavy. I remember wearing it out clubbing and getting comments that I could use it as a weapon, oops.

Do you have any favourite accessories in your collection?

HEAVEN IN A BROWN PAPER BAG

0 LOVELY COMMENTS

So there is a new guy in town and I'm telling you, Handmade burger aren't going to be happy! Hello burger heaven. My mouth has been watering ever since I heard that Five Guys was coming to play. We have been spoilt as the Birmingham store opened recently and Solihull just opened up on Monday! Oh the excitement. I had to wait until Saturday however to get my fill of burger goodness and as I heard there was pink lemonade, delicious five guy style fries and lots of different ways to order your burger. I was sold and very excited, I also love how traditional the burger is served to you on foil rather than a fancy plate or platter, just good old honest burger goodness.
FOOD - 5/5
I asked for a little burger as I had heard that the regular burgers are rather large as they traditionally are in the USA. However I think there was a mix up and I got a regular burger however I was in burger heaven. Mine was a bacon cheese burger with mayo, lettuce, tomato and mushrooms. The bacon was crispy, cheese melty and the burger patty was good quality meat.
DRINKS - 5/5
Coca Cola freestyle, need I say more. 100+ drink choices of all the different flavours you can imagine! I went for Strawberry flavoured Fanta however the grape is also amazing. Next time I think I'm going to have a mix up!
MENU - 4/5
It's simple and effective, not complicated which means you get served fast, and because all of the burgers are made to order imagine how crazy it would get if the menu was complicated. They have all you need on there so why complicate things.
PRICE - 4/5
On the scale of fast food offerings Five guys isn't a cheap option however I am more than happy to pay extra for good quality food. My (supposedly) Little burger was £6.75 and the bigger brother is £8.75 I think. So as I mentioned before not cheap however you can add however many toppings as you like for no extra money. No extra add ons what you pay for is what you get.
SEATS - 5/5
As Five Guys has just opened in Solihull I expected crazy queues and I honestly didn't expect to find a seat however the restaurant is very long full of plenty of tables and there are lots in front of the restaurant in its own contained area too.
ATMOSPHERE & DECOR - 5/5
I love the classic American diner red and white colour scheme. Classic and it makes you feel like you are in America too! I was expecting to step out of the Restaurant onto the New York side walk.   I also loved all of the quotes and magazine features that were on the walls.
WI-FI - 4/5
I didn't actually connect to the WiFi whilst I was in five guys because I only stopped to post an obligatory Instagram of my burger then went straight back to eating it however Touchwood has the cloud WiFi which is pretty decent when you are there.

If you haven't been to Five Guys before you need to get yourself there pronto!
