SHE WORE PINK DOGSTOOTH

6 LOVELY COMMENTS

This skirt is old, and when I mean old I wore it in 2008 when I went on holiday to Vegas and I'm not sure if it was new then… Anyway I love it and I am so glad I have kept it for so long because its a timeless statement piece. I just can't see it ever looking old or out of place in my wardrobe.

This look is part of a series that I shot last weekend, called 1 dress 5 ways. I took a black dress and styled it up five different ways, I have seen this on Pinterest however lots of this is flat layouts, you can't see the life in that so I wanted my take on it to have my personal style to it.

I love accessorising I chose my Thomas Sabo rings, silver studded costume necklace and statement cuff. The necklace and bracelet are actually pieces from the collection I was selling when I had my own jewellery/handbag range last year.

I love pink and a statement so I kept the rest of my outfit black and simple so the skirt would really pop. Statement pieces especially leggings and trousers excite me. I am also a big fan of a statement jacket too, I tend to wear one statement piece at a time and tone the rest of my outfit down.

I am a self confessed girly girl and if you follow me on instagram, majority of my posts are pink, however my style is more edgy rather than pretty. I like to mix up my pink and girly items in my wardrobe with pieces like my leather jacket and a studded skinny belt. If I am wearing a dress I will mix it up with a studded clutch bag and a quirky statement necklace.

HELLO KITTY ROCKS

0 LOVELY COMMENTS

I'm not meant to be spending any money… Going into Primark when you are trying to be good and not spend is a difficult and soul destroying experience at the best of times (Top tip: Walk round with your eyes shut) my weak spot is Hello Kitty. If I see something Hello Kitty I won't be happy until it is mine and if I hadn't of bought these goodies I wouldn't be satisfied until I owned them.

I bought three gorgeous nail polishes and an eyeshadow palette. Primark has really stepped up its game in regards to their nail range. They really have gone to town so if you get chance to pop in I highly recommend that you go and have a look because it is amazing! From jewels to polishes, nail wraps and plenty of accessories they have it all covered.

I picked three girly polishes, the vibrant pink one is called Got Dat Thang, Lighter bright pink is Meltdown and the gorgeous lilac is Beat Box. I've got to say that  it was the bottles that had me, I squealed in the middle of Primark when I saw them...

I also found this gorgeous eye shadow palette which I haven't tried yet so I am unsure of the quality but the colours are all gorgeous. It cost £2.50 so to be honest I don't have massive hopes on the quality however I am hoping that I will be pleasantly surprised.

I love the nail polish colours, they are so me! There was also a blue colour however I'm a pink/purple girl so I went with these three and I'm in bottle heaven right now!

Everything about this range excites me, the packaging, colours and just how funky and stylish the products are but the price too! The nail polishes were £2.50 each and they don't feel like cheap nail polishes either.

I love this look, I will definitely be wearing this look a lot in summer as it is girly, pretty and stylish at the same time! I love painting my nails different colours and I think these ones are really complimentary.

Just thought I would show you a little close up of the palette because I really like the indents. I love the colours on the top row they are all metallic nude colours and I can't wait to use it. I hope you enjoyed todays manicure monday post and check back next week for more nail goodness.

JANUARY LOVES

4 LOVELY COMMENTS

In my blogging schedule post that you can read HERE my plan is on the last Friday of every month I will be detailing everything I have loved for that month. It will be about anything and everything that I have been loving. This month it has predominantly been beauty and smelly things as I got lots of them as Christmas presents however it will vary each month.

This image excites me very much as I love Juicy Couture perfumes. Viva La Juicy is my very favourite perfume so I asked for the Viva La Juicy essentials for Christmas. The set included a the Viva La Juicy Rollerball Lip Gloss Duo which is a handbag essential. I wear Viva La Juicy La Fleur every day and Viva La Juicy for going out and special occasions.

You have probably had enough of me waffling on about Ciate nail polishes however I have been loving Kiss Chase which is the gorgeous pink polish you can see above. It is safe to say I am a little bit obsessed with this nail polish because when I haven't been wearing my Manicure Monday blog posts I've been painting my nails with Kiss Chase. Also teeny confession, I normally do Manicure Monday posts in a rush so I only paint my left hand. If people I know didn't already think I'm weird then they definitely do now...

This lovely phone case was a naughty till point purchase when I was in River Island at the start of December, I was buying a beanie hat to keep my ears warm at the Christmas Market. It was love at first sight, it was saying hello, hello buy me please and I caved! Skinny Dip London are phone case geniuses, I don't even need to worry about the gems falling off because Skinny Dip phone cases have a 1 year warranty.

I don't know how I lived with out my Soap & Glory products before because I am obsessed with them. I spend most of my day moisturising my hands with hand food because I love it and before I go to bed every night I give my feet a little Heel Genius treat. Hand Maid is a hand bag essential because it is a saviour at the weekends when I'm out and about.

Say hello to my naughty Laduree purchase that I bought in Charles De Gaulle airport. I visited Disney Land Paris this month and the plan originally was to go to Laduree on the Champs Eleseeys on day two. Unfortunately day two involved flying home at silly O'clock because I'm a wally and can't book flights properly. I  just couldn't contain the excitement when I saw the pretty Laduree cart in terminal 2 at the airport. No delicious Laduree Macaroons for me though as I was running low on Euros...

I purchased my Tangle Teezer last November after hearing good things about them. I love it very much, however don't use it near heat as I noticed mine has little black bits on the end of the bristles where I have burnt it. Now I have successfully burnt potato wedges, curly fries and my tangle teezer...

My last favourites of this month are my MAC beauty powder blush called Formal and my favourite brush out of the MAC mineralize holiday collection brush set. I use this brush to apply my eyeshadow, I know it looks a little large to be applying eyeshadow with but I think it's great.

I hope you have enjoyed reading what I have been loving this month, I will be posting my Loves on the last Friday of every month. I will be starting my Youtube adventure soon and I will hopefully be filming my monthly loves too!

SKULLS SPARKLES STARS & STUDS

I want to start of by telling you that Love Icon Fantasy Ego didn't start off as my personal fashion and lifestyle blog. It was originally the brand name that I created for my Identity project when I was at college. As part of the project we had to produce two items, I made a top hat and scarf. I also designed business cards and packaging too, I'm going to do another blog post to show you my project and the pieces I made.

Since I can remember I have had business on the mind, from pretend shops when I was younger to making bracelets with my sister and my various other business ventures. Last year Love Icon Fantasy Ego wouldn't leave me alone, it was on my mind all of the time and I decided to do something about it.

So in February Love Icon Fantasy Ego was born, however instead of starting how I originally intended with designing and creating my pieces I bought some handbags, jewellery and scarves stock off wholesalers which I found online.

A combination of things happened and my love for the business gradually broke and I ended up really quite un happy and feeling like a useless lump, made worse because I thought I had failed. I actually hadn't failed at all and it took me a while to realise that I had actually succeeded. I learn't such a lot about business, met lots of new people and also learn't a lot about myself.

If I hadn't started up Love Icon Fantasy Ego I wouldn't have started this blog as I originally used it to talk about my business and products. Unfortunately those blog posts are gone now because I deleted them...

All of the accessories featured in this blog post are from the jewellery range that I sold on my website and I still have all of these pieces in stock. If you are interested in purchasing them please contact me on twitter @loveiconblog or email me hannah@loveiconfantasyego.com

I hope you enjoyed reading about my business and hopefully maybe one day I will do something again but for now I am focussing on my job, my lovely blog and most importantly my family and friends.

BIRDS OF A FEATHER, LET'S STICK TOGETHER

Birds of a feather, Let's stick together

I have been loving trying out my Ciate manicure kits lately. I was really interested in trying out this feathered manicure kit as I have never had a feather manicure before. Nowadays you can create manicures with so many things and I think feathers are a really pretty way to jazz up your manicure.

I chose the black and white spotty feathered manicure kit. I think you can buy it in pink, blue and yellow too however I went for black and white because it is classic and I really like the way it looks on my nails.

The kit includes a large speed coat pro, mini snow virgin, pack of feathers, two buffers and a mini pair of scissors. I love how it includes the scissors for trimming the feathers, Ciate kits are so well thought out.

I am really glad this kit came with the large Speed Coat Pro, I have some Ciate mini top coats which came out of my Ciate Advent Calendar but I'm glad I now have a large one because I use them all of the time. I am also happy about Snow Virgin as I would never buy a white nail polish myself however creating monochrome looks with my black nail polish will look really good.

This is how the finished manicure looks with two coats of Snow Virgin and placing the feathers on the speed coat. I chose birds of a feather, lets stick together as the quote for the motivational part of this Manicure Monday post as I think you should hold the ones you love close to you and don't let them go. Friends and family are very important to me as they form an important support system and no matter what we always stick together.

If you want to try this look out for yourself you can find it here it is called What a hoot

DISNEY MAGIC ON PARADE

0 LOVELY COMMENTS

A visit to Disney Land Paris just wouldn't be complete without watching the parade. Luckily we walked into Disney Studios just as Stars and Cars was starting, otherwise we would have missed that parade! I didn't realise there was only one parade per day so we planned to be at the Disney Magic on parade show early so we could get a good spot at the front and it was definitely worth it even though my hands felt like they were going to drop off...

The detail that goes into the parade is just simply stunning, from the beautiful costumes down to the tiniest detail on the floats not the smallest thing is missed! This is one thing I really love about Disney, everything looks beautiful and perfect, it really is the ultimate dream land.

Flora, Fauna and Merryweather were amazing in the parade, their costumes were beautiful however that wasn't what kept me staring at them. The way they were gliding across the floor was enchanting and I know this sounds weird but they moved like the daleks, I recon they were standing on a special, segway/dalek machine.

Sleeping Beauty looked gorgeous and I loved her carriage, it was so pretty! The horse was lovely and there was lots of lovely birds with them too! It makes me wish that we went to the character dining experience with the princesses because I recon it would have been lovely.

Snow white minus her seven dwarfs. Doesn't she look pretty, I also love her carriage because it has little squirrels hiding in the foliage. I love how much attention is paid to the costumes and the prince looks very smart in his costume too.

I haven't seen Frozen however I know this is Elsa and you can see Olaf peeking out on the right. I definitely want to watch this film I'm waiting for it to go onto Netflix. I really hope you have been enjoying reading about my Paris adventures as I loved every second.

THERE'S NO BUSINESS LIKE BOW BUSINESS

2 LOVELY COMMENTS

It is very hard to visit Disney Land Paris without being drawn into the gift shops. We ran into the World of Disney instead of going for food. If you know me you will know that I love food and only a Disney Store can pull me away from food when I am hungry, I bought lots of Minnie Mouse goodies and I'm sure you won't be surprised to know that everything I bought was pink...

How pretty are the bowl and mug that I bought. I can't wait to eat my cereal out of the bowl and drink hot chocolate out of my mug. The mug even has a spoon that lives in the handle which I really like, if it had a cookie pocket that would be the most amazing mug in the world.

Lolly pop, lolly pop, oooh lolly lolly lolly, lolly pop. Lolly, pink and Minnie Mouse it  is a dream lolly. I just can't wait to eat it! I keep looking at it and knew I couldn't eat it until it was photographed, very tempting.

It was quite hard to get a good shot of my mug with the spoon in the handle. It is so cute, I really love this mug and it is my new favourite.

I had to buy my Minnie Mouse ears because they are pink, sequinned and very girly. Lots of girls were walking around the park with the classic Mickey ears however I wanted to get these one because they are so pretty!

The last purchase I made on my trip was this beautiful Laduree key chain. I have had my eye on this particular pink one for quite a while now since I visited Laduree on the Champs Elesseys last April. How pretty is it, I really wanted to buy some Laduree tea, a candle and some Macaroons too however I will buy them next time I visit a Laduree store. Don't forget to pop back tomorrow to see more of my time at Disney Land Paris.

I'M DREAMING OF A WHITE CHRISTMAS

0 LOVELY COMMENTS

Before you think that I have gone crazy or this post is late because of the Christmas images, I'm not crazy and this post isn't late. I took these images on Saturday at Disney Land Paris. It is still Christmas at Disney which I was so happy about because I love Christmas and I was very glad that I got to see them as they were so pretty.

The decorations were so lovely and traditional at the front of the park with gorgeous gold and red bows on wreaths attached to the canopy. The decorations are really in keeping with the Disney Land Park logo and the gold and green, so I think it looks great.

How cute is the Mickey Mouse shaped wreath, or is it Minnie because of the bow? Either way it is lovely and the baubles and lights looked lovely in the day and sparkled away at night.

The Disney Christmas tree was huge! When I say huge I mean huge a huge big old tree which was a spectacle. Whoever put all of the decorations on that tree, I salute you because that was a big task and I think part of the reason for it still being up was it would be a shame to do all of that hard work for just one month. I love that there are lots of traditional decorations however there is an ode to Disney as you can see the little Minnie Mouse and Mickey Head candy cane decoration too.

So I mentioned the Christmas tree was big and it definitely is big. It was already raised off the ground to put the presents under the tree a feature but I have never seen a Christmas tree as grand as this one, it really was amazing.

The presents under the Christmas tree were beautiful, look at the lovely train with Disney Land written on it, I think all of the presents and decorations were made out of wood and painted. It really is inspiring how much work goes into making Disney Land look the way it does.

Main Street USA was lined with lamp posts, lamp posts are lamp posts until you put beautiful wreaths on them then you have a picture worthy snap. I love the colours of the baubles and the bow makes for a pretty finishing touch.

Even the shop windows got dressed up for Christmas, all of the Disney shop windows always look so beautiful however this one really caught my eye as it is Minnie Mouse with the Eiffel Tower. So Christmassy and featuring two of my favourite things what more could a girl want.

Minnie and Mickey having fun in the snow, how cute are these. You can also see another two Disney characters behind. There was four sections like this and donald and daffy duck were on the right of these two. I love Disney Christmas it  was brilliant, make sure you pop back tomorrow to see what else I got up to and Disney Land Paris.
