MAKEUP STORAGE

MAKEUP STORAGE

I read a lot of beauty blogs and watch lots of youtube channels so I have seen many makeup storage and collections and to be honest I find most to be very excessive and just a lot of unnecessary stuff. I wanted to share mine because to me it is the right amount and all I need, I think my collection is pretty small however the size of your makeup collection is personal and I don't believe in comparing it to others because I'm happy with mine.

I keep my lip products and perfumes on top of the drawers and only recently have I had enough lip products to fill it. I have recently re-organised and put different types of makeup in each draw. The top drawer is for blushers, second is home to my eyeshadows, third is face products and fourth eye products, mascara and eyeliners. Lastly I have my brushes, I keep the brushes that I use on a daily basis in my skull mug and spare brushes in my striped pot.

I'm really happy with my current make up set up!

EVERY DAY FACE

EVERY DAY FACE

My makeup has come along way since two years ago when most of the products I used were either Sleek or Rimmel. I decided it was finally time to welcome myself into the world of more luxurious makeup so I went to MAC for a makeover and I asked for an every day makeup look which I loved and I still use most of the products on a daily basis. The MAC prep and prime BB cream is my third tube and I use it on my face every day so it lasts longs and I really enjoy using it. The Studio fix powder was also the one that she used too. I actually bought the Bourjois blusher last week not realising that it smelt beautiful so I haven't stopped using it since. My lipstick is also a recent purchase and I think I prefer Amplified now over Lustre. I love my Naked 3 pallette and my Naked 2 palette got neglected after I got this one. I use Dust on my eyelids and Darkside in my eyebrows.

I hope you enjoyed my every day makeup

FAVOURITE BOOKS

#GIRLBOSS

The day #GIRLBOSS arrived it sat on my desk and I couldn't stop staring at it like a weirdo because I couldn't wait to read it. I read it in two days and didn't want to put it down because I wanted to read more. I love the illustrations and the quirky quotes, Sophia Amorouso is one inspiring lady because she never planned on creating Nasty Gal she started off with pretty much nothing, so it shows much determination, lots of hard work and taking risks will get you where you want to be if you believe and try hard enough.
MANOLO BLAHNIK DRAWINGS

Manolo Blahnik's drawings book was gifted to me as a Christmas present, I love flicking through the pages of beautiful illustrations. I love shoes and I also love drawings so this is the perfect books for me. I would love to buy Christian Louboutins book too because I am a big fan of those red soled shoes and I wish to own a pair one day.
THE GODDESS GUIDE

Talking about Christian Louboutin, I really enjoyed reading the interview with him in the Goddess Guide a book that I have owned for nearly five years now. I love reading the different chapters in the goddess guide, it covers everything from food, travel and style. I also love the parts about London and Paris and also that there are different goddesses to represent the different sections.

I hope you liked reading about my three favourite books

SKIN CARE ROUTINE

0 LOVELY COMMENTS

MORNING ROUTINE

I love reading/watching peoples skin care routines and seeing what other people do, if you would have spoken to me around two years ago before I started getting into makeup/skincare my routine was face wipes and the occasional exfoliating scrub. Lately my skin has become really quite sensitive and I have had to stop using the Soap and Glory peaches and clean cleansing milk because my skin was getting quite angry when I was using it, pretty annoying as I'd just bought a new bottle! In the morning I now use Garnier Fresh Clarifying Wash to wash my face which is great because it is for combination/oily skin and then afterwards I use the Garnier Moisture match oily/combination moisturiser.

NIGHT TIME ROUTINE

I tackle the chore of removing my makeup before I have a shower and I have been loving the Garnier Micellar water which is the reason why I purchased the other Garnier products because my skin agrees with them (For now). After I have removed my makeup I use my Garnier express 2-in-1 eye makeup remover to remove my mascara and eye makeup because I find just the micellar water doesn't remove all of the makeup. I put on my face wash before jumping in the shower and moisturise my face when I get out and that is my skin care routine.

I KNOW MY SKINCARE ROUTINE IS QUITE SIMPLE HOWEVER I STICK TO IT!

WHAT'S IN MY NEW BAG

ALL SAINTS - JACKSON 2

It has been quite a long time since I bought a handbag, I'm pretty sure the last one I bought was my Mulberry bag two years ago. I used to be a handbag magpie and quite often I'd be buying new ones. I think when you are truly happy with something you don't feel the need to buy new things as often. For example my purse, it is black leather and I've had it for two years now and I still love it, my last black leather tote bag I've been carrying around with me for at least three years now.

I picked up this gorgeous All Saints Jackson 2 tote bag from TK MAXX yesterday whilst we were out shopping. As I was looking for a leather clutch bag I had a browse at the clutches and I found one, then stumbled across the matching tote bag so I bought them both! Together I should have spent about £300 pound however I bought both for £60. You can buy PU handbags on the high street for £60 so I was very happy to buy All Saints leather tote and clutch, I know I will get my use out of them.

What I carry in my bag hasn't really changed, I don't carry much makeup around with me apart from lip products a mirror and perfume and apart from that I just carry the essentials and of course my Iphone and Nikon 1 camera. Oh and my sunglasses of course because of the lovely weather we have been having and to be honest that is heavy enough!

I HOPE YOU LIKE MY NEW BAG, MAYBE I WILL DO A CLUTCH VERSION SOON...
